My name is Susan although, I usually go by Sue. I graduated with a Master's in Speech Language Pathology from Michigan State University in 1993. During my 22 year career, I have provided my services to hospitals, Children's Treatment Centers  and the School Heath Support Services Program while maintaining a part time private practice in Kelowna, B.C and Sudbury, ON.  In 2003, I relocated to Oakville and opened a full-time private practice.  In  2015, with the launch of my new website, I rebranded my practice under the name SpeechAbility.

 

What's in a name?  I believe that focusing on a client's ability is essential to maximizing communication potential.  I strive to develop a fun, engaging and supportive environment.  I believe this is essential for speech and language learning and brain development for communication.  As communication is a family, academic and community based skill, I endeavor to provide practical strategies that can be used to enhance communication success at home and school. 

 

I believe in life-long learning and I continue to pursue educational opportunities to stay abreast the latest research and techniques for the benefit of my clients.
